According to the state law, diabetics may keep in their possession while at school or any school related activities any items or medications needed to care for and treat their diabetes as outlined in the student’s diabetic treatment plan. Parents of students with diabetes should contact the campus nurse immediately so a diabetic treatment plan can be implemented for the student while at school.
