Coronavirus-COVID-19 Resource Links, Important Information, Recommendations For Hygiene, and The LISD Exclusion Criteria

There are a lot of concerns about the Coronavirus.

Our district takes the health, safety, and wellness of our students and whole community as a top priority.

We monitor the CDC daily and collaborate with our health department.

We follow their guidelines for all communicable diseases.


The recommendations for hygiene and infection control continue to be:

  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and water
  • Encourage your students to wash with soap and water
  • Stay home when sick (this includes school, work, church, grocery store, etc.)
  • Cover nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing (preferably with disposable tissue or inside elbow: NOT HANDS)
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth
  • Other FACTORS that help keep you from becoming a susceptible host-flu vaccine, healthy diet, exercise, no smoking

Lampasas ISD Exclusion Criteria:

Lampasas ISD follows the Center for Disease Control guidelines for communicable diseases in a school setting.

The student will be asked to stay or go home and not return until they are sympton free for 24 hours with out medication for the following:

  • Fever over 100.0
  • Vomiting and/or diarrhea
  • Yellow discharge from the eye-pink eye
  • Ringworm of the scalp
