You guys are actually in a really good situation right now as far as Math class goes. We have already covered the material that you are responsible for learning this year, so the work that I assign for you to complete at home will not be over brand new topics. My plan for after Spring Break was for us to begin reviewing for the STAAR test, but since you will not be taking a math STAAR test this year (yay!), a fast-paced review is no longer necessary. However, I would still like for you to complete the review problems that you would have done in class. I have clustered similar topics together and spread them out over four weeks, in case our time away from campus is extended. You may complete the assignments at a pace that is comfortable for you, or you may follow my suggested pace that is indicated on my weekly lesson plan calendar...all assignments and packets are due by Monday, April 27th.
Please reach out to me when necessary. Help each other when possible. Use the internet to locate resources since you might not have your BOK. Although you may not have an n-Spire calculator to use at home, I am sure that you can use your Googling talents to find somthing similar online. However, I have listed a few resources on my website under My Links for you to utilize:
- STAAR Chart
- Khan Academy
- Scientific Calculator
- Graphing Calculator
- Algebra Calculator
All assignments are in Google Slides and I have posted them to my Google Classroom (if you need the class code please see the tab on my website). Please read the directions and look over the how-to for marking your answers, this is on the 1st slide in every assignment. Don't forget to submit when you are finished.
Please Don't Stress about your grades. Do the best you can do, learn the most you can, and although we are isolated from each other now, we are still in this together! Much Love ~ Mrs. Ellis
