    PTA Meeting Tonight

  • Tomorrow is an early dismissal day. Car riders, bike riders/walkers will be released at 1:00pm, and buses will run at that time as well.

  • Dear Parents:

    Lampasas ISD thanks our PreK through 4th grade parents who completed the survey regarding the wearing of masks. Your input was very much appreciated and helped in guiding the district through this difficult decision. After carefully reviewing the case counts in our schools and Lampasas County, discussing with staff and our health authorities, LISD will delay the implementation of this requirement at this time for these grade levels. We have purchased additional desktop dividers for our younger students to further improve their safety. If an increase in cases develops, we may be required to implement the wearing of masks for these grade levels in the future.

    LISD requests you please screen your child for COVID symptoms each day.

    Symptoms include:

    Fever over 100.4° F taken by mouth

    New uncontrolled cough that causes difficulty breathing

    Loss of taste and/or smell

    Sore throat

    Diarrhea

    Vomiting

    Abdominal pain

    New onset of severe headache especially with a fever

    We thank you again for understanding as we carefully navigate through these tough times.

  • Good Evening KWE Parents,
    I want to thank you for the successful and safe start we have had to the school year. Below are a few important reminders to help continue this.

    Progress Reports Progress Reports for your child will be coming home this week and are available in Family Access for all parents. Parents of asynchronous learners may request a paper copy. This procedure will be the same for Report Cards and will continue to take place for each grading period this school year.

    Arrival & Dismissal Staff is not on duty to supervise students until 7:20am. Please no early drop offs. The bell to release students to class is at 7:50am, followed by the tardy bell at 7:56am. The dismissal bell rings at 3:20pm. We thank you for making our afternoon dismissal go so smoothly! For the "parent walk-up line," we ask that you maintain social distancing and remember to wear your mask for the safety of all. This also helps in modeling these recommended practices for our students.

    Specific Information for Home Learning Parents For an asynchronous student to be counted present (engaged), one or more of the following must be adhered to (regular grading policies will still apply):
    1. Demonstrate daily progress (via online, instructional software, submission of work, or daily communication between teacher and parent).
    2. Maintain daily teacher-parent conversation (via phone or e-mail).
    3. The student must be able to complete and turn in assignments daily.
    Home Learning Fine Arts and P.E. Students are held to the same grading policy as in-person learners. Home Learning students will receive a Fine Arts and P.E. grade. It is imperative that you maintain engagement in these classes by staying in contact with the activity teachers as well.

    This message is for Remote Learners

    You may have noticed some changes to attendance this year to account for remote instruction.

    In Family Access, under the Attendance tab you will see the term Asynchronous Present. If you see this for your child it means the teacher reported your child met one of the engagement standards for their class on that day. Engagement is required daily in every class to earn attendance.


    Teachers are required to mark your child absent for their class if there is no engagement but will be able to change the attendance for up to 3 school days if needed. We want to ensure that teachers have a sufficient amount of time to check for engagement.


    Lampasas ISD appreciates your continued patience and support. If you have any questions about your students' Asynchronous classes, please continue to contact their teachers.
