Integer Operations - add, subtract, multiiply, divide integers
When subtracting integers, turn into an addition problem by “keep it, change it, opposite”.
When adding integers with SAME signs, find the SUM of their absolute values.
When adding integers with DIFFERENT signs, find the DIFFERENCE of their absolute values. Keep the sign of what you had more of to begin with(the greatest absolute value)
Absolute value is the distance a number is from zero. Ex: The absolute value of -5 is 5, and the absolute value of 5 is 5.
When multiplying and dividing integers: like signs – the answer is positive,
different signs – the answer is negative.
