Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Melanie Younger
Hi! My name is Melanie Younger. This is my second year teaching at Lampasas High School. However, this is my 27th year teaching overall. I am very excited to be part of Lampasas High School and am looking forward to a great school year. I will be co-teaching this year in both English 2 and in Algebra 1.
I went to Tarleton State University and graduated from Southwest Texas State University, now known as Texas State. My degree is in Exercise and Sports Science, with a minor in Math. I was in Burnet for 25 years at the Middle School where I taught 8th grade Math and Algebra and Coached for the first few years. This is my third year in special education. I love teaching! I love working with kids! I love instilling confidence in kiddos that they can do Math! I tell my kiddos every year, my goal at the end of the year is to make you feel confident that you CAN DO the math and hopefully instill a love of Math into them.
